Indications
Aristovit B-B Complex is designed for both preventative and therapeutic use to address nutritional deficiencies related to B-vitamins, especially during conditions that lead to their depletion or impaired absorption. This includes addressing symptoms such as glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, and beriberi.
Composition
- Tablet/Capsule:
- Thiamine Hydrochloride: 5 mg
- Riboflavin: 2 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 2 mg
- Nicotinamide: 20 mg
- Syrup (per 5 ml):
- Thiamine Hydrochloride: 5 mg
- Riboflavin: 2 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 2 mg
- Nicotinamide: 20 mg
- Injection (per 2 ml):
- Thiamine Hydrochloride: 50 mg
- Riboflavin: 4 mg
- Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: 10 mg
- Nicotinamide: 100 mg
- D-Panthenol: 5 mg
Pharmacology
Aristovit B-B Complex provides a balanced combination of essential B-vitamins that are crucial for various metabolic processes. These vitamins are integral to enzyme systems that manage carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. Deficiencies in these vitamins can lead to conditions such as glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, and beriberi.
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet/Capsule: 1-2 tablets/capsules three times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
- Syrup: 2-3 teaspoonfuls daily, or as directed by a physician.
- Injection: For intramuscular or intravenous use, the usual dose is 2 ml daily, or as directed by a physician. The injectable form also includes D-Panthenol at 5 mg.
Interaction
Aristovit B-B Complex may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa, a medication used for parkinsonism. Therefore, it is not recommended for patients receiving levodopa therapy.
Contraindications
Aristovit B-B Complex should not be used by individuals who are hypersensitive to any of its components.
Side Effects
While generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience allergic reactions or idiosyncratic responses. Iron, even at typical doses, can cause gastrointestinal discomfort in some patients.
