Pharmacology
Fluocinolone acetonide, the active ingredient in Skinalar, is a synthetic corticosteroid designed to reduce skin inflammation and relieve itching. It works by acting on the inflammatory processes in the skin. Additionally, Fluocinolone acetonide has been shown to significantly increase collagen production, which helps in the regeneration of skin tissues. This effect is stronger than other commonly used steroids like dexamethasone.
