Pharmacology
This formulation combines Paracetamol and Caffeine. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic with mild anti-inflammatory properties, while Caffeine, a xanthine derivative, enhances the solubility and absorption of Paracetamol. It also elevates pain tolerance and helps alleviate migraines and headaches by improving cerebral blood flow.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours, not exceeding 8 tablets daily.
- Children: Not recommended for those under 12 years.

Interactions
- May lower serum levels with anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin, carbamazepine).
- Can enhance anticoagulant effects of warfarin with prolonged use.
- Accelerated absorption when taken with metoclopramide or domperidone.
- Increased serum levels with probenecid and chloramphenicol.
- May reduce absorption when taken with colestyramine within 1 hour.
- Risk of severe hypothermia when combined with phenothiazines.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with severe renal impairment, hepatic disease (e.g., viral hepatitis), or known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Caffeine.
Side Effects
Generally mild, but may include hematological reactions (thrombocytopenia, leukopenia) and occasional pancreatitis, skin rashes, or other allergic reactions.

Precautions & Warnings
Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney issues and those on other hepatotoxic medications. Avoid prolonged use without consulting a physician.
Overdose Effects
Signs of overdose may appear within the first 24 hours and include pallor, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Liver damage can manifest 12 to 40 hours post-ingestion, with potential metabolic disturbances.
