Description

Norash Ointment contains pantothenic acid, a vital component for maintaining normal epithelial function. This stable alcoholic derivative of pantothenic acid provides excellent skin penetration and achieves high local concentrations when applied with an appropriate vehicle, such as water-in-oil emulsions. Topically applied Norash functions as a moisturizer, enhancing hydration in the stratum corneum, minimizing trans-epidermal water loss, and preserving skin softness and elasticity.

Pharmacology

Dexpanthenol, the active ingredient in Norash, is an alcohol derivative of pantothenic acid, classified within the B complex vitamins and crucial for healthy epithelial function. It is enzymatically converted into pantothenic acid, an essential part of Coenzyme A, which serves as a cofactor in numerous enzymatic reactions critical to protein metabolism in epithelial cells.
